Celtics Sign Jayson Tatum to Massive Extension

Jayson Tatum signs 4-year, $300,733,200 contract with Boston Celtics

All-Star forward now among the highest-paid players in the NBA

BOSTON, MA - The Boston Celtics have signed All-Star forward Jayson Tatum to a 4-year, $300,733,200 contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid players in the NBA.

The new contract, which begins in the 2022-23 season, will pay Tatum an average of $75.18 million per year. It is the largest contract in Celtics history and one of the most lucrative deals ever given to an NBA player.

Tatum, 23, has been a cornerstone of the Celtics' success in recent years. He was named an All-Star for the first time in 2020 and has led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in each of the past two seasons.

With Tatum under contract for the long term, the Celtics are poised to remain a contender in the Eastern Conference for years to come.
